a random family update during a busy time

the blogging has been very minimal lately. we have been very busy with work and adjusting as a family. this fall has been especially busy for my photography business which I am very grateful for, but with it new challenges in finding time to fit everything into a 24 hour day.

sebastian is ultra cute these days. we enjoy watching him learn new words. he is discovering that language is a powerful thing and loves to impress us with what he knows. he has moved from numbers and letters to now...shapes. he knows what a triangle is and enjoys pointing out the triangular shaped signs in Target. his umbrella stroller has a foot rest with a diamond tessellation pattern on it. one day i watched him stare at the foot rest with total interest and then blurt out, "diamond!" it's cool to see him make connections between objects we have at home with things outside of our home. i've been enjoying watching sebastian show concern for Elliot when he is crying or needs something.

elliot is growing like a weed and is awake for more hours in the day. he has very gentle eyes, is getting better at baths, and is pretty good at holding his head up during tummy time. he has helped me to get through some quirky boob issues related to breastfeeding. elliot loves looking at Sebastian and listening to him as he plays...he breaks out a smile whenever Sebastian comes over to say hello to him. elliot is now 2 months old. a 2 month old tripod picture is due...
