we have two very happy, smiley boys! elliot has been smiling a lot for everyone when he is ready to play. he enjoys looking at sebastian, going for stroller rides, and playing with Curt.
i am starting to figure out his sleepytime cues during the daytime. the trick for us is to put him down BEFORE he is tired. even if he is cooing and making sounds...i put him down, even though it's very tempting to want to continue playtime. our goal is to have elliot learn how to self-soothe and not depend on rocking for sleep. we made that mistake with Sebastian and would like to avoid it the second time around.
elliot's face is still not 100% clear. we've had a wide range of issues with his skin. from baby acne, to red flare ups, to facial seborrehea (sp?), etc. but there definitely is improvement. before his entire face felt like sandpaper. when i see the slightest hint of another flare up, i put a bunch of expressed breast milk on his face. supposedly that is a miracle fix for all baby skin problems.
elliot can definitely see us now and notices different things around the house. i can only imagine what he must be wondering when he takes it all in. finally, elliot seems huge to me. we have a 6 month snow suit from Sebastian, but I am not sure if that will fit him come time for the winter months...

Elliot does look he's out of the newborn phase! He seems so much more awake and aware of things around him. Amazing how quickly they change.
