At one month Elliot is 13 pounds and 23.75 inches, putting him near the 98/99th percentile for height and weight. So he has gained about three pounds since birth. This makes me really excited because we are breastfeeding and I wasn't sure how much volume he was getting from me. He also gets about 2 ounces of formula four times within a 24 hour period...depending what kind of mood he is in :).
Elliot gets up twice a night to eat. He is up in the morning around 7 am. Ideally he should be sleeping again at 9 am...but some days he is up until noon. When that happens he is irritable. He has the ability to put himself to sleep, but there are times where he needs movement...like rocking, which makes us nervous that he will be a baby who will struggle to fall asleep on his own.
He has acne on his face. Sometimes it looks horrible, sometimes it looks not-so-bad. We are hoping it clears by two months. The day he turned four weeks old not only did he lose his hair on top, but he also broke out. They say it's the hormones?!?
Elliot is a good baby, so cuddly, so sweet. He is also a grunter, especially at night. He is starting to make more cooing sounds and is smiling more each day. I'm looking forward to when his vision will be a bit better so that he can really see all of our faces!
